Focusing on family myths, stories, and traditions, the artist recasts and reimagines her foremothers through words, gesture, and image.
Donna Barkman’s ‘Hand Me Downs’ will be performed at the gallery November 12 and 14
This monologue is written and acted by Barkman and directed by Mara Mills. The play uses one of Brody’s sculptures as an integral part of the piece.
